Annie Ze-Ping Hsu was born in Taipei, Taiwan and grew up in central Texas. She moved to Portland for one of the country’s best acupuncture schools, Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, where she obtained her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine on the accelerated track, and is a Teaching Assistant for various classes. Annie obtained her Bachelor of Science and Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in Nutritional Sciences, and incorporates both western and eastern food therapy with most of her treatments. During her clinical internship, Annie treated diverse chronic pain cases with advanced orthopedic acupuncture techniques at the Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital Pain Management clinic, and has further honed her clinical skills with 350+ treatments under her belt since getting licensed. Annie is a Licensed Acupuncturist with the Oregon Medical Board, and is nationally board certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine.
With her background in dietetics, Annie believes that nutritional therapy is foundational for optimal wellbeing, and often utilizes nutrition-based coaching with her patients to enhance patient healing. She loves sharing the wealth of information Eastern Medicine has to offer to best aid each patient on their own path to wellness. Annie strives to create meaningful relationships with all of her patients and is so excited to be a part of this therapeutic community!
In her free time, you can find Annie foraging for edible mushrooms and herbs, snowboarding, or camping with her two dogs and husband.
